♫ Chicane “Leaving Town”
Just getting back home and already dreaming of hitting the road again…
thank you!! it’s straight out of the camera with only tiny contrast correction… I was absolutely amazed to see the colors captured so beautifully…
What wonderful colors in this shot and I love how you composed it with those objects in the water on the diagonal. Cheers 😃
I would wake up every morning at 5:30 am and go and photograph the place… the light was different every morning… but on this particular day the colors were stunning… love the buoys too (I think these are buoys?)… they were typically very far off into the sea, but on this day I was lucky they were closer…
am happy you like the shot, Chris!!
“Every morning at 5:30 AM”…That is dedication, my friend. =)
that is long years of insomnia rather 🙂 I just could not sleep well, at least I found a better use of the sleepless hours…
Oh, my, Alex. This is beautiful. I love how you caught all the birds mid-flight.
thank you sooo much, Lois!! I would go to this particular place almost every morning and take a photo of the sunrise… but this is the only shot I got with birds in the frame… they make such a difference…
Beautiful, beautiful shot! Great timing with the birds 🙂 I hope you had a great holiday and it’s never too early to start dreaming of the next one 🙂 ❤
thank you, my dear Mabel 🙂 I was almost every morning at that spot and this is the only shot I got with the birds in it… I am not typically into landscape and sunrise photography, but who could resist this beauty!
the boys enjoyed the holiday very much, and I am happy when they are happy… but now I want to be travelling again and this time on my own…
what a lovely warm composition! 🙂
thank you so much, really appreciated, Divsi ! 🙂
What a gorgeous view, so worth to get up early! 🙂 I hope you enjoyed your vacation Alexandra!
thank you kindly, Elina, it was definitely worthy 🙂 although I’m not very much into sunrises and sunsets, I felt really attracted to the scene…
it was a nice vacation, only too short I’m afraid 🙂
Beautiful summer and sunrise photo! I love that pink sky and the birds. It’s a shame that vacations always are too short…
the pink is so sweet in the shot, isn’t it, especially given that it is straight out of the camera…
ah, the birds… they add such feeling of freedom to the shot…
thank you so much, Viking…
It must be a great feeling to be able to fly wherever you want.
Around here the Canada Geese have started flying South already – a sign of dark and cold times to come…
when I was younger I would very often dream in my sleep that I could fly 🙂 I lost that now… I guess the further we go in life, the bigger the sense of “gravity” is for us, holding us down (figuratively speaking)…
we usually have a warm September and October here… when is it usually getting cold in Norway for autumn and winter?
What a stylish shot! Gorgeous light/mood, colors (especially the pink), and birds in flight!
Here’s to your next trip…
thank you so much, Kishore!!
life seems more bearable when I am the road… 🙂
and here’s to you for always giving me a happy smile when I read your thoughtful comments…
So beautiful! Where did you go?
This is the Bulgarian Black Sea coast 🙂 its Northern part to be precise… we visited there for the third year in a row… am very happy you like the shot, Gaya 🙂
Superbe !des couleurs comme j’aime 🙂 et comme chez moi en Bretagne !
you are so right, just checked your blog, truly fascinating images from Bretagne ! 🙂
and thank you so much for stopping by with a wonderful comment!! I am glad you could relate to this image in this way 🙂
Марте, много се радвам, че ти харесва кадърът… 🙂 много красиво утро беше наистина!
Exactly how I feel whenever the holiday is over 🙂 Welcome back and awesome image!
so glad you could relate 🙂 I need to start figuring out my next trip… I feel so much more peaceful on the road… this image is evidence I guess… thank you so much, Indah!
Oh I know that feeling …
no rest for the weary…
happy you could relate, Herbert!!
A lovely photo, Alex. I hope you’re feeling relaxed after the holidays. Is that where you have your first coffee of the day?
thank you so much, Lignum 🙂 we were staying at a resort complex, kinda away from town…the bars and cafes at the resort were open till late at night and were naturally all closed this early in the morning lol… I was typically at the beach just before 6 am… I could not find a place to make me coffee this early 🙂 and honestly, I’d kill for a cup of that killer coffee you got there lol 🙂
Stunning picture, such calmness there 🙂
thank you kindly!! the scene does have a calm and relaxing mood about it… 🙂
Very nice shot ! I love it.
I am happy 🙂 thank you!!
Beautiful light, Alexandra!
honestly, I am not very much into sunrises and sunsets and I think I have only a few landscapes in the entire blog… but… this one I just could not resist… beautiful, soft, magical light indeed, Graham!! thank you!!
thanks much, Rob!!
Stunning! Everything just fell into place.
one of those rare moments I guess 🙂
thank you so much, Kevin!
Looks like to buoys prevents you to hit the road again, but it is not a problem for seagulls 😉
Lovely colors and composition. I like the birds, occupying the sky, and the perspective made by the buoys. Great shot again.
thank you so much, Cédric!!
gosh, you are right, I wish I could fly like those birds 🙂
I love this photo and share the feeling….
thank you, Andy! happy…
Gorgeous, absolutely! The colours, the moment, the mood…. I am not a morning person but still get myself together several times during summer to catch a sunrise. Indescribable emotions, very special ones…i would even say – on the edge of joy and sadness. That is the way I feel about this photo…and admiration, of course!
PS: Which part of the Black Sea caught your attention? 😉
this is Albena resort, near Varna 🙂 we visited for a third year in a row there, but this is the first time I got the chance to photograph such sunrise… we changed the hotel this year, maybe the change of location had its say… or the fact that I used a different camera this time… I agree the mood in the shot is very special one… thank you so much, Ese, always happy to read your comments!!
And did you know that “Behind the sun” is one of my favourites?
really? that’s awesome 🙂 I love Chicane… must still have “Behind the Sun” on a cassette somewhere around the house, purchased it on a cassette once it came out, that was before CD times obviously lol… “Saltwater” is my absolute fav piece there…
yes, a timeless piece!
The light, the moment..it’s lovely!
thank you, Uday 🙂 although the vacation has just finished I already feel it was long time ago lol, vacation days fly away so quickly…
Oh wow that looks amazing ❤
