Where least expected… ♥
may be I would prefer landscape romance ^o^
who wouldn’t 🙂 but… no landscape romance, this is reality check…
Имало едно време една сателитна чиния. Тя била влюбена в климатика.
и ето това е то, съвременната приказка лол…
happy you think so 🙂
Bien vu !!!!! and no we have to let them write a nice love story 🙂
honestly, I think their romance is doomed lol 🙂 thank you so much for stopping by, Sophie!!
Love hides in mysterious places 🙂
so true… who would have thought it can even hide in the shadow of a bland satellite dish (figuratively speaking) 🙂
thank you kindly for your comment!!
Lovely and very poetic !
thank you so much, Phillippe… I was wondering if the shot would make any sense at all to anyone else but me lol… am happy it does 🙂
You have a great eye. My husband likes to say, най-вече за панелите, that now that they’ve built up Sofia it’s time to introduce architecture. But your photo shows that even in the most unassuming or mundane environments, there can be a glimpse of something worthwhile.
thank you kindly for stopping by 🙂 your blog is fascinating, it’s always so interesting to read about Bulgaria from the perspective of a foreigner who has lived here… you are back to the United States now, right?
yeah, панелите… 🙂 but you are so right, there is beauty in the mundane also… it’s good to be able to appreciate it now and then…
Yes, we’re living in DC again while my daughter goes to high school. But the kids and we miss Bulgaria and intend to go back at some point. Thanks so much for your comment on my blog – much appreciated.
l’amour en parabole
indeed, a parabole of love…
it is very kind of you to look up the words in Bulgarian 🙂 Google Translate says in French I should say it like this: il est très gentil à vous d’écrire les mots en Bulgare 🙂 (hope there are not too many mistakes…)
😀 haha, “seen well or good look” (?)
Nice pic Alex !
oh, thank you so much, Céline…glad you like it 🙂 shabby but real urban romance …
Shieeet, I need some urban romance too. I’m totally romance starved here.
Wonderful title to a nice, but slightly depressing photo 🙂
romances are always slightly depressing as they are typically very intense and always doomed in the end… and I’d still prefer that, instead of just gliding through life without any emotions at all… I must be romance starved too to see that in an air conditioner and a satellite dish lol 🙂 and I think I am the only one crazy here to see a heart shape in the shadow under the satellite-dish as noone has mentioned it so far lol 🙂
thank you kindly, Cardinal!!
I saw the heart, but I didn’t comment on it. At first I just saw the air conditioner, the antenna and the wire.
Unfortunaltey )?) I agree that romances are always slightly depressing.
So near and yet so far
thank you for stopping by, Chris 🙂
so good to hear from you, Indah, thank you!!
Ha! Nicely observed, Alexandra 🙂
Thank you so much, Graham 😊
Well seen ! I love the shadow…
Ima happy someone noticed the shadow 😊
PS. Happy French National Day, Phil 🙂
Thank you, Alexandra ! But no firework for that in Spain…
thank you, Herbert!!
When Romeo is singing for Juliette. Well done 😉
lol, I wasnt thinking about the famous balcony scene… until now 🙂 thank you, Cédric!!
Brilliant! Well spotted. This really brought a smile to my face.
Colin, thank you so much for stopping by 🙂 am very happy you like the shot… and thanks for finding me on Instagram… keep in touch 🙂 ps. you have added new and amazing street portraits to your gallery!!! 🙂
Thanks Alex. I have your blog in my RSS reader and enjoy catching up on your pictures! Thanks for the lovely compliment, it means more because I’m such a fan of your work.
you just made my day, Colin 🙂
Ah excellent le coup de l’ombre !
aww, you noticed the love shadow 🙂
Hi, Alexandra, you have another post up on “strata of the self ‘:
thank you soooo much for sharing my photos, Ashley 🙂
Love served up on a dish? ….great shot
omg, this is such a clever comment, thank you!! 🙂
Thank you, nspired by a clever photo 😉
I remember you once wrote about the phase of noticing hearts everywhere…is this one of those moments? Still…the photo makes me smile as well as feel a hinge of sadness. Something about being and not being on the same wavelength at the same time…
your comments are always so perceptive, Ese, full of sensitive insight!!
alas, I’m still in that phase, noticing hearts everywhere, and all are not the real one
Shadows can be so revealing can’t they! What a fantastic shot!
that was an unexpected find for me indeed .. thank you, Patti!!
Someone has “love” on their mind. 🙂 I wouldn’t have noticed it. 😉
I guess love is always on my mind, as I keep seeing hearts everywhere lol 🙂
you leave the hearts to me and you keep noticing your fabulous people-in-the-street shots and start posting them again, it’s been more than a month since your last post… 🙂
I’m planning on a return in August, unless I get lazy. 🙂
And I may take a break in August…well… I will be looking forward to your return nevertheless 😊
This is genius! Your uncanny eye for the ‘heart’ and the fantastic angle of shot and placement of the two-piece heart shadow… ooh! The wire from the heart to the box suggests what, now?… “Love outside the box” ? The gritty overall feel makes the concept of heart/romance/love stand out even more.
Powerful, powerful image! One of your best.
love outside the box… this is sooo interesting!! thank you!!!
I need to go to the place on another hour of the day and see if the shadow could be even more well-shaped… it’s a happy chance to come across this scene, as we usually take the same route to the park everyday, but that day we decided to take a different route… not sticking to routine sometimes pays off well, I guess 🙂

You have a great eye for a pic most folk would not see this, superb.
it’s so good to hear this from you!!
btw, I went to the place the next two days to check out if the shadow is better shaped… but had no luck… maybe I should give it another try one of these days…
