♫ James Blake “Limit to your love”
you should know that your question today on Strata of the Self has been the push I needed… thank you so much, Ashley!!
Well, that’s great! It’s a beautiful self portrait, Alexandra. x o x
I think long exposure is my new favorite thing…
thank you!!! xx
I agree with Ashley: Yay!
Long exposures are always fun! Great to see a new self-portrait.🙂
thank you, Cardinal🙂 it’s always good to have someone encourage you, you know…
What ghostly image goes there? =) I like the detail of the necklace in this.
the necklace (a key) should have been a little bit more well-defined… but it was tough to keep all elements in the shot blurry and defined at the same time… it is an interesting experiment for me…thank you!!
Nice pic Alexandra ! Like this song… do you know the version of Feist ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kwjn8YaaB1Q
Have a nice week-end !😉
oh, that’s interesting… I havent heard Feist’s version before… it’s sweet, kinda sounds more cheerful … thank you so much, Céline!! have a great weekend too🙂
I love it ! Beautiful shot !
thank you so much, Philippe!!!
Long exposure is really terrific, your self portrait is gorgeous
I’m fascinated by long exposure, might be experimenting a lil bit more with it… thank you so much, Bernie!!
What a most beautiful, dreamy shot . . . .
thank you so much, Patti!! long exposure seems to have this dreamy effect, I’m only now beginning to explore it…
Une belle pause longue. J’aime!
Ау, че красота, Алекс… Ще ми се да се изгубя в нищото и аз.🙂
изключително точно попадение, Гери, изгубване в нищото… много ти благодаря!!
This is gorgeous, I love the double exposure and the way you captured the lips.
there are a couple of things in the photo that I dont like very much in terms how they turned out… but the lips detail is the one thing that I really love…
ima not sure if there is a difference between double exposure and long exposure, as the concept is really new to me… it’s a single shot with slow shutter speed 0.8 sec…
thank you so much, Andy, for your comment and for taking a look at some of my previous self-portraits… !! really appreciated…
I loved this one, whatever the technique and it was great to explore some more of your work Alex!
Beautifully ethereal, Alex.
thank you kindly, Lignum!!
I don’t know James Blake, but this is a glorious shot A long exposure selfie?
oh, thank you so much, Rajiv… yes, it’s a 0.8 sec long exposure shot… I decided to give it a try, glad you like the result…
I need to take some selfie lessons from you, stat. Do you use a tripod and remote? Now do you adjust the focus? Tell me EVERYTHING!!! I used to take lots of DSLR selfies before, but mostly handheld and I am past that now. This is so inspiring!
you must be kiddin, right?… you surely dont need lessons on selfies, much less from me🙂 but yes, I put the cam on a tripod, I use a remote, I set the lens to manual focus and set the focus where ima supposed to stand in the frame and I start experimenting with poses until I get what I want.. it’s a lot of running to and fro the camera… I try to frame in-camera, as I always do, since I just hate cropping anything out…now go do and I wanna see your selfies then🙂 xx
Cool image and great idea🙂
thank you kindly, Indah!!
Fantastic exposing (light as well as shutter)… and a creative shot… more comments on the Flickr page.🙂
thank you sooo much, Kishore!!
I love the feel to this
thank you!! happy you like the image…
Everything there is, isn’ t and we wish there was….lingering in between…
precisely… it’s a period of transition for me, between everything ther was and everything there is never going to be… gosh, I missed your comments and your vision… !! xx
