Inspired by Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Lines and Angles.
Thanks for the inspiration once again, Cee!
I could still see the colors of the umbrella even it’s BnW. Really nice shot. 🙂
can’t disguise a rainbow in bw, it’s always a rainbow and it always brings joy 🙂 thank you for the lovely comment 🙂
Such an outstanding photo. I want to know why that person is just standing there. Seems like there should be a story or two to tell.
am glad the image tingled your imagination, Cee 🙂 thank you!!
Lovely composition Alex!
thank you, Thatiana!! 🙂
Cool shot, Alexandra. The roundness of the umbrella against all of the straight lines makes it interesting. Also, the pattern on the umbrella and the reflected light in the puddles are great elements. You’re lucky, your sons seem like such willing photo models. Cheers 🙂
you are so right, it’s all about geometry and contrasts here… interpretation is open… 🙂
yes, I’m very VERY lucky with my two models… I know I can be a nuisance sometimes always hovering around with my camera… but they have stopped noticing it long time ago… and I hope they will be always just as cooperative 🙂
thank you!! 🙂
A very nice photo. You’ve a very good eye for interesting photography. Is this a hint you want me to return to B&W? 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend, Alex.
you don’t need a hint for that 🙂 but it’s true that when I edited the image I thought of you and your images and how you always manage to keep detail in the blacks and whites… cause I had hard time doing that here… tried several conversions, none as good as yours…
I must be under the influence… of your photography 🙂
have a great weekend too, Lignum 🙂
Outstanding, Alexandra! So much going on (in a good way, of course!) but the composition is so smooth that nothing becomes a distraction – on contrary…like layers of a story, waiting to be told. 🙂
thank you very much, Ese 🙂 this was the first time I see this schoolyard so empty, it was almost surreal…
thank you!! 🙂
Waiting for something magical to happen.
kids always make everything magical …
