Very nice ! This is very graphical and people stand at a perfect position on your picture 🙂
thank you, Geo 🙂 yes, it’s all about urban geometry here… and the reflections on the wet street add further to that too I think… nothing better than bad weather… 🙂
Beautiful!! I just posted a ‘Rainy Day’ set 😉
hey, thanks 🙂 and your rainy set is just fantastic… rain always has this special mood about it, right ? 🙂
Nice shot. I like the composition and the reflections in the water. I don’t enjoy shooting in the rain, but do like the wet pavement and puddles. 🙂
I agree, shooting in rain requires you take special care of the camera gear and this may kill enthusiasm or you may not always be prepared… I had only an umbrella on me today, so I had to hold the umbrella one hand and pull trigger the other hand… but then, there is this atmosphere and mood in special weather conditions (rain, fog, snow) that are always tempting and sometimes you just can’t resist… 🙂 thank you, Chris!!
I love the way you have framed this photo
I am so happy to read your comment about the framing… cause it took me more than one attempt to take the shot… it is a very busy street with a lot of traffic… I had to wait a bit in pouring rain to get the frame without any cars and with the wet reflections visible…thank you!! 🙂
The joy of street photography sometime there is always something or someone that keeps coming into your frame
this is so true 🙂 🙂 I would have been most happy if someone with a spotted or striped umbrella suddenly rushed into the scene lol 🙂 thank you once again…!
thank you! 🙂
J’aime beaucoup dommage que les 2 personnages soient un peu collés!
merci :)(google translate is not very helpful with your comment, I got only part of it…)
Well donne, Alexandra !
It’s a nice reflection for a beautiful symmetry. And People bring life in your picture. 🙂
am very happy you like the pic…thank you 🙂
Another exquisite shot of yours, Alexandra! I am a sucker for reflections, so you can imagine… 🙂 Still – the common mood of the photo, the composition – for me everything works there.
aww, thank you for the music vid, Ese 🙂 yeah, rain can be used to convey emotion so well…
am really glad you like the shot and the reflections for that matter… I stopped there for the reflections and judging by the comments it was all well worth it 🙂 have a wonderful weekend, Ese 🙂
ca me rapelle mon pays la Bretagne
this is so cool 🙂 I guess this type of graphic captures are kinda universal, you can see them anywhere in cities…
thank you so much for your comment…!!
Your models are even in step. I see no cars on the street, so I assume the overhead doors are for something other than autos. Ima bet at least 3 bikes would fit in there. Possibly 4.
lol 😀 this is a fire station… so if I need to store 3 or preferrably 4 bikes somewhere, it won’t be there I guess 🙂
when I started going through the shots after I got home yesterday, my first thought was exacty this, they are even in step 🙂
Wonderful street capture. The rain and water add to the drama of the shot nicely.
hey, Lignum, welcome back… I was thinkin of setting up a rescue team to track you down already 😀
am really happy you are back…
… and am glad you like the shot…
Beautiful lines and boxes… almost like a study in geometry, reinforced by the reflections! The passers-by disrupt the abstract component, delightfully. Umbrellas look good in photographs too. Beautiful!
I’m very happy you like the shot, Kishore 🙂 umbrellas and rain are great for photography, you are sooo right..:)
